15-Year-Old Shot in Head and Killed in Jackson, MS

A 15-year-old was shot in the head and killed early Thursday morning in Jackson.

Police say the teenager, who had been reported as a runaway the previous night, was found wearing a ski mask when he was shot. The reason for the ski mask remains unclear, according to authorities.

The teen’s father was present at the scene, located on Shands Street off the I-55 Frontage Road, and spoke with police as they investigated the incident.

The case remains under investigation.
