Zebulon Man Arrested in Connection with Shooting on Sawyer Road in Raleigh, Police Report

Raleigh police have arrested a Zebulon man in connection with a shooting earlier this month that left a victim with serious injuries, according to a newly filed warrant.

Authorities say 26-year-old Travion Ashley Holden is accused of assaulting a man with a firearm on February 14. He has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.

Police responded to the 1400 block of Sawyer Road that night after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Holden was taken into custody Wednesday and is being held without bond, court records show. He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Wake County Court on Thursday.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
